Biography
I am originally from the Bassin d’Arcachon and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Cognitive Sciences (MIASHS), as well as a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Bordeaux. During my Master’s, I had the opportunity to complete two internships. The first was at the Neurocentre Magendie in Bordeaux, where I worked on the development of a machine learning algorithm to study cocaine addiction in a rat model. My second internship was at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where I explored the activation of the frontal pole in participants engaged in creative tasks involving figurative language.
I am currently pursuing my PhD at ENSEA on ‘Robotic Mediation in Healthcare’, under the supervision of Joffrey Becker and Alexandre Pitti. The aim of this research is to design, test, and evaluate the integration of so-called social robots within therapeutic processes, focusing on a robotic object in a mediation setting. This research seeks to explore the therapeutic potential of a socially-oriented machine, specifically for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), without relying on the anthropomorphic or zoomorphic aesthetics often used in studies involving robots in healthcare environments.
