Biography
Abdelhamid Ladaycia is an Associate Professor / Researcher (Enseignant-Chercheur) in telecommunications and signal processing at CY Cergy Paris Université, and a member of the ETIS laboratory (UMR 8051, CNRS – CYU – ENSEA). He received the Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences in 2019 from Université Paris 13 – Sorbonne Paris Cité. His doctoral dissertation, entitled “Interference cancellation in MIMO and massive MIMO systems”, was supervised by Prof. Anissa Mokraoui, with Prof. Karim Abed-Meraim and Prof. Adel Belouchrani as co-supervisors. He currently serves as Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Science and Program Director of the Professional Bachelor’s degree (L3) in Networks and Cybersecurity.
Research activities
His research interests focus on MIMO and massive MIMO wireless communication systems, with a particular emphasis on OFDM-based transmissions, channel estimation, and semi-blind signal processing techniques, for cellular and celle-free systems.
His work mainly addresses:
- Semi-blind and blind channel estimation methods
- Cramér–Rao Bound (CRB) analysis for theoretical performance limits
- Pilot overhead reduction in large-scale and massive MIMO systems
- Low-complexity estimation algorithms (LS-DF, EM-based, subspace methods)
- Grant-free and unsourced random access for mMTC
- Cell-free and large-scale distributed wireless architectures
- Advanced uplink access techniques for 5G and 6G networks
