Dr Julia Ive is a Assistant Professor in Natural Language Processing at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. Together with her research team, she is working on fairness and privacy aspects of textual data, as well as human-AI collaboration in mental health care. She is currently leading a 3-year US-funded research project on bias in paediatric mental health. Previously, as a Research Fellow at Imperial College London she led a UK-funded breakthrough pilot in privacy preservation of mental health text.
